Offseason Deals

The Marlins and Blue Jays trade took everyone by surprise. Now it may still be provoked and not go through, but all I want to know is what the Marlins deal is. They have done nothing but move into a new stadium off of the tax payers money and then give away all their players. Reyes, Johnson, Buehrle, Buck, and Bonifacio all headed to the Jays for Escobar and a few prospects.  That is a big list of great players for a risky good future.  Stanton and the remaining Marlins you can bet are not very happy, as their tweets became very popular over the first couple days.  Bautista and other Blue Jays you can bet are stoked though. This trade seems a little crazy and is ending any hope for the Marlins in the distant future but brings more positive expectations for the Jays in their tough division. Other baseball deals around the league are some free agent signings.  Hunter is now a Tiger as they look to return to the World Series after some disappointment in the 2012 season.  they look for his elite glove and bat to be another weapon among Cabrera and Fielder.  Baker left the Twins and has now signed with the Cubs, which will help their team in their big weakness of pitching.  David Ross joined the Red Sox as a catcher was in need to bring more depth to their lineup.  Many other players resigned with their teams, but big names such as Hamilton, Swisher, Lohse, Pagan, and Bourn with many others are still out there.  Look for a good amount of them to join their team again for at least another year, but some will scurry to other teams.  My biggest bet is Hamilton, with the Tigers getting Hunter, look for the Mariners to make a big move for him.
