Mike Morse of the Mariners, Justin Upton with the Braves, and Chris Davis of the Orioles have all really impressed me to start the season. Morse and Upton each with 5 blasts and Davis is one of a few guys who has hit four, but Davis has also got 17 RBI's which leads the MLB. They are off to really hot starts, but they are not the only ones as Will Middlebrooks, Adam Jones, Jed Lowrie, Carlos Santana, and Todd Frazier have been outstanding. Middlebrooks send 3 balls over the wall against Dickey earlier today, while Jones is hitting .538. Santana and Lowrie are each batting .500 and have been hitting their home runs to help the offense of their teams. Frazier got 3 blasts and is hitting .480. Now take a look at all these guys and their teams, everybody is at least at a .500 record to start the season. These early hot streaks are what carry teams as the rest of the guys are still looking to get back in the groove. Take a look at some other big names, the Yankees are already missing almost everyone while Cano is batting .130 which has lead them to a slow start. Hamilton is hitting .160 as the Angels are struggling and the Posey is only hitting .200 as the Giants sit in 4th in the NL West, and what happen to Stanton and his power?

In recent news, Marmol has lost his closer job yet again after blowing the save against the Braves thanks to the Upton brothers. Marmol has been shaky and the Cubs have had enough. Bad news for the Braves however, Freeman is on the DL and some see this as unnecessary, especially Freeman. He has an oblique issue but thinks he can play through it as he has a hot start on the season hitting .417. But he will be on the DL for at least 15 days as the Braves need Heyward to get his average up and the Uptons to continue doing what they have been.
Billy Butler put up 7 RBI's in the game today to tie his career high and beat up Philadelphia. Though the Royals have not had the hottest start they are still at .500 with a 3-3 record thanks to some good Guthrie pitching and Butler batting.

Starting with the poor pitching performances, Strasburgh got rocked by the Reds, as the Dickey got smoked by the Red Sox and Cain got wiped out by the Cardinals. Not the kind of performance people were expecting from these aces. To move to a positive note Kershaw has been living up to his name, picking up 2 wins and still no ERA, but the pitcher that has been a bit of a surprise with his great performance is Justin Masterson. In his two starts he has got 2 wins and has a 0.69 ERA doing great for the Indians.
Going off of the performance of the first couple weeks we will make our predictions and make the podcasts for everyone to hear, coem back to listen in!!
