NFL Week 10 Predictions

Brady showed us who is boss in Week 9. The Patriots came out on top in the big QB battle of Brady and Rodgers, as the Patriots performed well with much more creative plays and clutch performances on both sides of the ball. A big fumble killed the Packers momentum and took away their chances of winning just like it did in Week 8 against the Rams. Speaking of the Rams, they took their first loss of the year. Goff and Gurley simply got outplayed by Brees and Kamara, as we got a preview of what I bet will be the NFC Championship. That was a great game and in reality it is probably better for the Rams sake they got a loss now for a reality check instead of in the playoffs or Super Bowl. The Titans and Panthers also came off very impressive this last week, as they both get tough challenges in Week 10 against the Patriots and Steelers. We have a new leader on the season, as the competition continues.
Last weeks records
Tommy 11-2
Lauren 9-4
Marcus 8-5
Panthers (6-2) vs Steelers (5-2-1)
Tommy - You can't beat those Panthers in Carolina, Olsen was a beast and their offense has posted 78 points over their last two games. Now they get to face another one of the hottest teams in the NFL on the road. Connor and the Steelers have stepped it up and have one of the strongest receiving cores. Big Ben can go long to Brown, hit McDonald for ten yards, or find Connor for a short gain. I don't think Carolina will be able to slow that down. A close shootout in what should be the best game of the week, going to the home team. PIT 31-28
Lauren - Carolina has been on fire lately. They put the hurt on Tampa. Pittsburgh looks like they may be getting LeVeon Bell back this week, which will give them two spectacular running backs. I think the Steelers have the better receivers so I'll give them the win. PIT 28-24
Marcus - One of the better Thursday Night games of the season! Both teams are coming into form but I like Pittsburgh at home. PIT 27-24
Lions (3-5) vs Bears (5-3)
Tommy - The Lions sure did miss Golden Tate in Week 9. No touchdowns and very unproductive on third downs. Now they get to face Mack and the Bears defense that should have a blast blowing through and bringing Stafford down. Turnovers will be the difference, as the pressure will be to much for Stafford while Trubisky and Howard won't see nearly as much. CHI 27-17
Lauren - Chicago had a field day in Buffalo last week scoring 41 points. Detroit is starting to show their true colors against competitive defenses. They should look equally pathetic against the Bears defense. CHI 27-17
Marcus - The Lions looked bad last eek and I like the Bears defense to come through and help get da bears the W this Sunday. CHI 30-17
Saints (7-1) vs Bengals (5-3)
Tommy - That Saints offense looks unstoppable. I thought will Donald and Suh Brees and Kamara would have a bit of a hard time, but that was not the case. Brees escapes and then seems to always find his target for some kind of a gain. Green will be missing time, so Dalton will be missing his favorite guy on those clutch third down plays. The 3 and outs the will be the Bengals downfall, as Brees continues to move down field. NO 28-17
Lauren - Cincy is coming off a bye week, but they are going to need much more than rest to beat the team that just defeated the only undefeated team in the NFL. Drew Brees should have a blast carving up the Bengals defense. NO 31-23
Marcus - Even though this game could easily be a trap for the Saints, I don't see them falling this week. NO 24-21
Falcons (4-4) vs Browns (2-6)
Tommy - If the Browns want a chance in this one they need to shut down Julio Jones. The Browns should put up good offensive numbers in this one, though the Falcons defense has looked better over their las two games. It will come down to if they can outscore Ryan and the Falcons, which they will only be able to do if they can keep Jones from putting up big yard numbers. Not many have had success there yet however. ATL 30-24
Lauren - Atlanta's defense is banged up but they are still finding ways to win. Cleveland is still a losing team, but they are starting to score during games. Matt Ryan is still the better QB here and I believe he will come out a winner. ATL 28-20
Marcus - Too much turmoil in Cleveland still and the Dirty Birds looked good last week against the Skins. Party in Atlanta this Sunday! ATL 35-20
Patriots (7-2) vs Titans (4-4)
Tommy - Tennessee sure came through on third downs on Monday night. But will they be able to be so consistent against Belichick and the strategy he develops over the week? I doubt it. Brady on the other hand will face some pressure and simply dive down for the sack a few times, but he should have fun finding Gordon and Edleman for long plays to bring them the W. NE 27-16
Lauren - The Titans just put up an impressive win in Jerryworld last week. Mariota was able to run through the Cowboy line. Tom Brady and the Patriots just proved that the GOAT is indeed at the helm in Foxborough. Brady's offense is too creative for the Titans I think, so they'll come out on top. NE 31-26
Marcus - The Titans are looking for some pay back after being knocked out of the playoffs last year by the Pats. But its the Patriots, New England wins but I like the Titans to play close. NE 27-24
Jaguars (3-5) vs Colts (3-5)
Tommy - The Colts have two in a row and are finally looking good at the offensive line. Luck is getting the protection he needs to win games. The Jaguars on the other hand have dropped four straight and I have little faith in their offense. Fournette looks to be coming back, but he has only appeared in two games this year and left them both early. With Luck being healthy with his weapons Hilton etc. finally off the IR they will get down the field more often and I trust in them to win a close one at home. IND 22-17
Lauren - Both teams will be well rested coming off their bye weeks. The Jaguars traded away an important defensive piece. The Colts are still really beat up and may take more beating against a still really good Jaguars defense. But Bortles can't seem to put up points, so I think Luck and the Colts will win here. IND 21-14
Marcus - This year's comeback player of the year, Andrew Luck has been playing great this season and I like for him to lead the Colts to victory. IND 17-13
Cardinals (2-6) vs Chiefs (8-1)
Tommy - The Cardinals may be coming off their bye, but they are headed for the one place they don't want to go. At Arrowhead Mahomes and that Chiefs offense is unstoppable. I expect they will score on every drive in the first half. Though KC's defense has not looked like one of the best in the league, it will still be tough for the Cardinals to put up more than 20 points with they have been averaging this year. This is the game that should give sports books a hard time with their numbers in week 10. KC 41-17
Lauren - Patrick Mahomes keeps putting up amazing numbers. That Chiefs offense looks unstoppable. Arizona got to rest last week, but I don't think that is going to help them at Arrowhead Stadium. KC 37-10
Marcus - Who are the Chiefs playing this week? Arizona, yeah KC wins!! KC 45-6
Bills (2-7) vs Jets (3-6)
Tommy - Well we got two of the top turnover teams facing off. Peterman against Darnold's backup hmmmm....who will throw more picks. I have to go with the home team, as it seems Buffalo can't even get in the enzone. The Jets will have the better week finding first downs on short passes and avoiding the long ball mistakes that Peterman will throw in desperation in the second half. NYJ 14-12
Lauren - The Bills are looking worse every week. Peterman just can't seem tog et it together. Darnold has on-and-off weeks, and I think that will be an ON week. Without Ivory though, the game may end up closer than expected. NYJ 24-20
Marcus - It looks like Sam Darnold will be on the bench and the Jets didn't look good last week. I'll take the Bills Mafia this week! BUF 21-14
Redskins (5-3) vs Buccaneers (3-5)
Tommy - The Bucs look much better at home than on the road and Fitzpatrick will keep that alive. The Redskins had a nice little run, but lost to a NFC South team last week and now get to face another one. Washington lost a few guys to injury and will be in a shootout to win this game. I am liking Tampa though with guys like Evans ready to haul in the long ball. TB 27-24
Lauren - The Fitzmagic seems to be alive and well in Tampa Bay. Even though they lost to the Panthers, the Bucs offense looks much more productive when he's throwing the ball. Washington's defense is beat up. They lost thee players last week. Still, I think Alex Smith and Adrian Peterson may spark the offense in Florida. WSH 24-17
Marcus - Is Fitzmagic back?!? They played better last week but I like the Redskins to bounce back this week against the Bucs. WSH 27-24
Chargers (6-2) vs Raiders (1-7)
Tommy - I am liking these Chargers this season, that offense has been great. Rivers has three great targets who were making amazing catches last week, not to mention Melvin Gordon in the back field who seems to make any defensive line look like a joke. And this week he is playing against one that is. The Raiders have not been able to stop any run game and though the game is in the Black Whole that should not make any difference. LAC 42-23
Lauren - The Raiders look to be vying for that first overall pick this year. Losing to the 49ers all but ended their season. The Chargers got a good win against the Twelfth Man in Seattle and I believe Joey Bosa is set to return this week. The Chargers should have an easy win. LAC 27-12
Marcus - The Chargers obliterated the Raiders the last time they played and I see Phillip Rivers doing the same thing again. LAC 30-7
Dolphins (5-4) vs Packers (3-4-1)
Tommy - The Dolphins have looked bad on the road, while the Packers have dropped five straight at home in November. I am sure Rodgers is frustrated with the record the Packers have on the season, as many Packers fans are blaming coach McCarthy. In order to win this one the Packers will need to get more creative dealing with Rodgers knee injury. They won't be able to run the ball up the middle and throw it away as frequently as they have been. The Packers are favored by nine, I bet with some clutch throws from Rodgers they come out on top, but won't cover. GB 24-20
Lauren - The Dolphins got a sad win against the Jets last week only scoring 13 points. Green Bay is coming off of a better loss against the Pats. Rodgers should look a lot better against the Miami defense. GB 28-24
Marcus - The Dolphins are 1-8 straight up as road underdogs, I'll take the Packers this week in the frozen tundra. GB 23-14
Seahawks (4-4) vs Rams (8-1)
Tommy - Seattle had a hard time stopping Gordon in Week 9, now they get to face Gurley down in LA. Back to back weeks against an RB like that will not be easy. The Rams are coming off their first loss and will now be starving for a chance to get another W. These two had a good fight up in Seattle, but I think it will be a bit of a different story at the Memorial Coliseum. LAR 31-21
Lauren - The Rams were finally handed their first loss last week against the Saints. They looked good losing though, still putting up 35 points. Seattle is struggling on defense it seems, which is good news for Gurley. Rams start another winning streak. LAR 31-24
Marcus - The Rams finally got their first loss out of their system and I like them to bounce back against Seattle. LAR 37-27
Cowboys (3-5) vs Eagles (4-4)
Tommy - Philly gets to come off the bye against a big division foe on prime time. With the addition of Tate, Wentz will have plenty of people to go to with the ball. The Cowboys won't be able to double cover Jeffrey, Agholor, Ertz, and Tate. We saw against Tennessee that Prescott doesn't work to well under pressure and the Eagles will be able to bring plenty of it. The Eagles will get their record above .500 and cover. PHI 27-20
Lauren - I love this rivalry. I love it even more knowing the Cowboys just lost to the Titans at home. Philly will be well-rested and ready to win at home. Dak and Dem Boys are playing a desperation game. Amari Cooper seems to be a big help, but not enough help in Philadelphia. PHI 33-23
Marcus - The addition of Amri Cooper helped but I like the Super Bowl champs to win against Dallas. PHI 24-20
Giants (1-7) vs 49ers (2-7)
Tommy - San Francisco may have found a new guy that can come through for them in a few games. Mullens impressed us all and now gets to face another team with only one win on primetime television. The Giants are coming off the bye and have players to run and catch the ball, it is that offensive line and QB that are the problem. It seems Eli never has any time to do anything with the ball, and the 49ers will keep the pressure on him. Mullens may get a bit of a reality check after playing that sad Raiders defense, but I believe he will keep it going. SF 23-20
Lauren - A few weeks ago this game would have been harder to pick. Two fairly bad teams battling on primetime. Now though, the 49ers have announced that Nick Mullens will be the starter and I have confidence in my team again. Niners win. SF 24-13
Marcus - Another snoozer of a Monday Night Football game. Even though Santa Clara plays well on MNF, I will take the G-Men to beat the Santa Clara Niners easily. NYG 26-14
Season Records
Tommy 84-48
Lauren 83-49
Marcus 82-50
