Week 12 Records
Tommy 9-7
Lauren 9-7
Marcus 10-6
Dzintars (Guest) 10-6
Jaguars (4-8) vs Titans (6-6)
Tommy - This game will be decided by turnovers. Will that great Jags secondary lead by Ramsey make Mariota turn that ball over with picks, or with the Titans put enough pressure on Kessler or whoever is playing QB and force the fumbles and bad throws they need for good field position. Neither team allowed an offensive TD last week and that may continue, but I trust Mariota to down the field more than Jaguars offense. TEN 13-9
Lauren - Both of these teams are coming off big wins, though not both of them were pretty to watch. Tennessee won a hard-fought game against the Jets and Jacksonville won a really sad game against the Colts. Both of these defenses are tough to get through, but the Titans have the far superior offense which is why they will win this one. TEN 24-17
Marcus - The Titans have owned the Jags over the last few seasons and are 4-1 at home this season. My brotha' from another motha' Marcus Mariota leads the Titans to a victory! TEN 17-10
Arturo (Guest) - The Titans are favored to win this one over the Jags. If Mariota can put it together their offense will shine at home. TEN 23-7
Falcons (4-8) vs Packers (4-7-1)
Tommy - The Packers look straight up pathetic, they have made their big change in the coaching staff but that won't change the skill level in the targets Rodgers has to throw to. His young rookies receivers were dropping passes like crazy last week in the snow. Rodgers sure is wishing Jordy Nelson was around. Both teams have not lived up to their names, as Atlanta can't seem to put any plays together either. However Green Bay is lost and confused now, while Ryan still has Jones to throw to. ATL 21-20
Lauren - Mike McCarthy is out of Green Bay. The question remains, will his departure help or hinder the Packers? By now, the Packers have surely kissed their postseason goodbye, but that doesn't mean they have to roll over and die. Atlanta's defense is so depleted that Rodgers should have a grand old time hitting his receivers. GB 27-20
Marcus - Now that the Packers have gotten rid of their coach, and will have Aaron Rodgers be the starting QB & head coach, he will lead the team to victory against those Dirty Birds. GB 20-13
Arturo - Normally I would side with Rodgers...but they really need to figure things out right now so I have to take Ryan and the Falcons. ATL 33-24
Jets (3-9) vs Bills (4-8)
Tommy - I am really liking Josh Allen right now, he was escaping pressure and getting off passes. His guys just couldn't bring them in to take home the win. At home, I am taking the Bills against the Jets who couldn't do much on offense last week. The Bills have one of the best rush defenses and that is the strength of the Jets offense. Bills take a low scoring game in this one. BUF 14-12
Lauren - Josh Allen literally led his team in rushing yards last week. That guy is something special on a not too special team. The Jets could not score an offensive touchdown las week against the Titan defense, and yet they still led late in the fourth quarter. The Jets defense looks to be able to stop a mediocre offense so i'll give them the win here in Buffalo. NYJ 21-18
Marcus - Bills mafia is 7-3 ATS and straight up in their last ten games against the Jets, so I'm taking Buffalo. BUF 21-14
Arturo - The Bills destroyed the Jets in their previous matchup. I say the outcome will be the same in Buffalo. BUF 23-15
Panthers (6-6) vs Browns (4-7-1)
Tommy - Turnovers are killing the Panthers, people were praising Newton for the year he was having. You can throw that out the window and target it all towards his RB McCaffrey. Mayfield is coming off a rough one, but this should be a good game. Mayfield should be able to score against this Carolina defense and it all comes down to stopping McCaffrey. But I think Carolina will bring an end to their losing streak in a shootout dominated by the run game. McCaffrey vs Chubb! CAR 34-31
Lauren - The Panthers lost their fourth game in a row last week. Christian McCaffrey led his team in both rushing and receiving, but it was not enough. The Browns lost against the impenetrable Houston defense. I think Mayfield and the Browns have a real chance this week since the Carolina team can't seem to finish. Give me the Browns. CLE 24-23
Marcus - This game doesn't excite me too much, but here is a random stat for you, the Browns are 3-0 against the spread against the NFC South. I'm taking the Brownies. CLE 24-21
Arturo - Cam Newton is playing with an injured shoulder issue, so Christian McCaffrey will find inspiration like in his Stanford days to get the W. CAR 30-21
Ravens (7-5) vs Chiefs (10-2)
Tommy - Lamar Jackson has turned the Ravens offense into a real threat. But still nothing compared to the guy looking to take home the MVP Award. KC has shown that their defense is not to much of challenge to get through like Baltimore's is though. But in KC, its like being in another world. Mahomes will find a way. KC 33-28
Lauren - KC won a good game against the Raiders, but it came clear in Oakland that their defense is not up to snuff. The Ravens beat the depleted Falcons defense with Lamar Jackson's legs. Another game with two young, explosive QBs going at it. Will Mahomes and the Chiefs be able to out-score Jackson and the Ravens tough defense? I think it will be a close one, but KC wins. KC 30-26
Marcus - The loss of Kareem Hunt has hurt the Chiefs and over their last five games are 1-3-1 against the spread, but I like them to win a close game. KC 31-28
Arturo - The Ravens have the lowest point against average of any team in the NFL. Taking a chance on the underdog in this one. BAL 28-27
Patriots (9-3) vs Dolphins (6-6)
Tommy - Brady feels good and accomplished right now, as he puts up his 1000th rushing yard and the Pats are sitting in a spot that would get them the bye they want so desperately. Miami is coming off a nice win, but their offense will not stand a chance against New England. Brady will outscore Tannehill will ease, finding Gronk and Edelman for big third downs and TDs. NE 41-21
Lauren - The Patriots won against Minnesota and Tom Brady got his thousandth rushing yard after 19 seasons. The Dolphins won a dramatic game against the Bills that came down tot he last play. New England's defense really stepped up against the explosive Vikings offense and there will be no backing down now. Pats win. NE 28-21
Marcus - Should I pick the Dolphins!? Well they have had great luck at home in the winter months against the Patriots while Tannehill has been taking the snaps. I will go against the Pats this time. MIA 27-24
Arturo - The Patriots system is unstoppable this time of the year. The Dolphins will score early on and fade away. NE 31-21
Saints (10-2) vs Buccaneers (5-7)
Tommy - Well Tampa started the season beating the Saints in New Orleans. Now Brees and the Saints are coming off a tough loss and will face the now hot Bucs offense. Can the Bucs make the Saints defense look as sad as the Panthers? I don't think so. The Bucs won due to their multiple interceptions and Brees won't turn it over like Newton did. NO 32-23
Lauren - Tampa Bay got a huge win last week against the Panthers. Winston was feeling his teammates magic in his passing game and boy did it show. New Orleans lost to the Cowboys, which stunned everyone. They will not let it happen again. Drew Brees and the Saints get a redemption win in Tamp. NO 31-20
Marcus - The Saints will go marching onto victory after their lapse last week against the Cowboys. NO 40-23
Arturo - The Saints have something to prove after their embarrassment last week. Saints Easy!! NO 34-24
Giants (4-8) vs Redskins (6-6)
Tommy - New York is stepping it up with their fun trick plays and clutch trips in the red zone. The Redskins seriously can't catch a break. Another QB out for the year with his fibula snapped as well. Mark Sanches may have made up for some things with his butt fumble recovery on Monday night, but still will not be able to bring his team the win. NYG 24-13
Lauren - Colt McCoy got to ride the starting QB high for a week before he broke his fibula. Mark Sanchez is now the starter for the Redskins and well, let's see how that goes. The Giants won a hard-fought game against the Bears last week and are riding that high. I think the Giants get another win here. NYG 27-17
Marcus - The G-Men are on a roll, 3-1 straight up over their last four games. While the Skins are on a 3 game skid. NYG 20-17
Arturo - Redskins may be dinged up, but they are favored and I think they will find a way to win. WSH 17-14
Colts (6-6) vs Texans (9-3)
Tommy - Indy left me in shock and down a couple hundred bucks on Sunday. They kicked a field goal early in the game, but took the penalty to move forward and could not come up with any plays near the end zone against Jacksonville. Now they get to face another strong defense in Houston, who has a much better offense than the Jaguars. This game will be a good test, as Houston looks to lock up the division while IND tries to keep playoffs hopes alive. I can't go against the combo of Watson and Hopkins at home though. HOU 31-27
Lauren - If the Colts play like they did last week then this game will be an uncontested win for the Texans. Luck had his team in the red zone three times last week and did not put up any points. The Texans look better every week, and every week they find a way to win, Give them their tenth win in a row. HOU 21-10
Marcus - My guys from Stanford have been helping on the defensive side of the ball for the Texans and DeShaun Watson is showing that he is the real deal! HOU 24-17
Arturo - The Texans are playing very exciting football. They will keep this going all the way to the playoffs. HOU 28-24
Bengals (5-7) vs Chargers (9-3)
Tommy - Well the Bengals have lost every key starter in their offense. With Green out, Driskel is running out of options and he will be running out of time fast against the Chargers. This may seem like a good game early, but the Chargers will runaway with in the second half for the easy win. Rivers is looking to catch KC for the division title. LAC 37-16
Lauren - Bengals don't stand a chance. Their best receiver is having surgery and their defense can't stop anything. The Chargers just won a huge game against the Steelers and have all the confidence in the world. They could really do it this year. LAC 34-17
Marcus - The Chargers played one helluva game against the Steelers last Sunday and they proved that they are for real beating a quality opponent. I like the Bolts to win big against the Bungals this weekend. LAC 35-10
Arturo - Chargers prove they are contenders this year, this will be a sweet but easy victory. LAC 33-13
Broncos (6-6) vs 49ers (2-10)
Tommy - Denver's defense won't let this be close. They will force a few turnovers and kick back to relax with their popcorn at the start of the fourth quarter. Lindsey is going to be key for a fantasy owners. DEN 28-10
Lauren - Denver won an easy game against the Bengals last week and the 49ers lost an easily won game by the Seahawks. SF is another team that I think has resigned themselves to a bad season. They will lose this game. DEN 20-12
Marcus - The Broncos have been playing good of late, and are on a three game winning streak. No question here, they'll beat the Santa Clara Niners. DEN 24-10
Eagles (6-6) vs Cowboys (7-5)
Tommy - Dallas showed us a great defense vs New Orleans and also is coming off a longer rest. The Eagles played Monday, while the Cowboys played Thursday. With ease, the more rested home team will win this one. The pressure Dallas can bring will force Wentz to make mistakes, as the Cowboys will hold off the Eagles even on their many 4th downs attempts in the red zone. DAL 27-14

Marcus - the Boys played the Eagles in Week 10 and since then they are undefeated. I like the Cowboys to continue their hot streak against Philly. DAL 23-17
Arturo - The Cowboys offense is getting results while their defense has been clutch. I look forward tot he next narrative of this classic NFC East matchup!! DAL 31-23
Steelers (7-4-1) vs Raiders (2-10)
Tommy - The Steelers have had a tough time finishing games. Both the Broncos and the Chargers made their comebacks against them and came away with the win. Will their curse against the AFC West continue? The spread is sitting at 11 points and I doubt the Steelers win by that much. But with some big passes to Brown and a turnover or two, the Steelers come away on top at home. PIT 30-27
Lauren - A lot of us thought the Raiders were going to look embarrassingly bad against the Chiefs, but they played alright. This week may not be so nice. The Steelers lost to the Chargers, and they are looking to redeem themselves. PIT could be missing James Connor, but I think they'll find the passing game will be the way to go. PIT 31-24
Marcus - The Raiders played surprisingly well against the Chiefs last week, but I don't see them beating the Steelers. Although I think they will beat the spread against Pittsburgh. PIT 30-24
Arturo - The Raiders will struggle against a playoff contending team like the Steelers. Expecting a big game for Antonio Brown. PIT 40-27
Lions (4-8) vs Cardinals (3-9)
Tommy - Arizona is coming off an impressive win, but have not put together any games back to back on the year. Detroit will have enough defense to slow them down, as Stafford puts together the plays the Lions need for the win. It will be close, but the Cardinals will go back to making the mistakes that cost them games earlier in the year. DET 23-21
Lauren - The Lions lost a game we all knew they were going to lose. The Cardinals, however, won a game no one expected them to win, even with how bad the Packers season was going. The Cards looked decent defensively, but there are some games where the Lions suddenly show up. I think the Cardinals win at home. ARI 14-9
Marcus - Welp this is a snooze fest of a game, but I'll take the Cardinals here since they did beat the Packers last week. ARI 9-3
Arturo - I flipped a coin* DET 21-20
Rams (11-1) vs Bears (8-4)
Tommy - Trubisky could have played against the Giants, but they decided to save him to make sure he could take on the Rams. That may have turned out to be a mistake after they fell against the Giants. But now they get to use him against Donald and Suh and the Rams defense. This should be a great game with Howard and Trubisky on one side, facing Gurley and Goff, both sides taking on great defenses. I think home field advantage turns out to be the difference maker in this game, as the Bears take a late win. CHI 29-27
Lauren - Two elite defenses match up for what I expect to be a good game. The Rams gave the better offense, especially if Chase Daniel gets the start again, but Khalil Mack may give Goff and Gurley some trouble. Just as Aaron Donald should give Daniel or Trubisky some trouble. This could end up being a low-scoring affair. LAR 20-14
Marcus - This should be a gem of a game flexed into the Sunday Night slot. I feel that the Bears can beat the spread this spread this week with their defense but the Rams will win a close one. LAR 38-28
Arturo - We will watch a potential NFC Championship gamer matchup happening. Rams have enough offensive weapons to keep Khalil Mack busy and their corners at bay. LAR 24-21
Vikings (6-5-1) vs Seahawks (7-5)
Tommy - Like I said for the last game, home field will mean everything in this game. Thielen and Diggs will be bigger factors against Seattle than they were vs the Patriots, but Russell Wilson will yet again lead his team to a great win in the 4th just like against the Packers and Panthers. This game means a lot as they battle for a wildcard position, I bet Seattle gets one of the spots. A loss here will make it tough for Minnesota, as the Eagles and Panthers are close behind. SEA 31-27
Lauren - Whenever these two teams matchup all I can think about is Blair Walsh missing that kick. This one could end just as dramatically. The Seahawks found their mojo and are looking really great late in the season. The Vikings are coming off a loss to the Pats who held them to ten points. I think the Seahawks have the advantage at home and will get the win. SEA 28-24
Marcus - Seattle is on fire! They are not only getting and NHL team but the Seahawks are playing really good football as of late. They took care of Santa Clara last week and they will take care of Vikes again this weekend. SEA 31-17
Arturo - Seattle needs to be on point. If they can manage that, their chances of winning are high. SEA 30-20
