NFL Season 100! Week 6 Predictions! Who will prevail in the games that may impact the playoff picture later on?

We have some good matchups going into Week 6, as division leads and battles for potential wildcard seats are in the works. The 49ers are meeting the Rams, both planning to fight for the NFC West title, while the Eagles and Vikings face off, both with 3-2 records that need to a win to stay in the playoff picture, and the Lions make a trip to Lambeau Field to take on their division rival Packers for the lead in the NFC North. Those are not it either, as a few other teams are already desperate to stay in the fight for a seat in the postseason, such as the 1-4 Falcons and 2-3 Chargers. We may look back at this week and see a deciding game that got one game onto the playoffs and kept others out. I am 47-30-1 (61%) on the season, here are your predictions and maybe the way you want to bet in Week 6.

2-3 New York Giants (+16.5,+750) vs. 5-0 New England Patriots (-16.5,-1200) THU, 8:20 PM ET

It appears the Giants got a bit of a reality check last week against the Vikings. Daniel Jones was looking great with two wins, then had his 31.7 QBR in their tough loss. Now he gets to play on primetime and get some more of a challenge against the Patriots defense. Cousins showed us that the Giants secondary isn't to strong so Brady should have a blast. A -16.5 spread may be a bit much, but I would bet it.
Prediction: Patriots 34-13

3-2 Carolina Panthers (-2,-130) vs. 2-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2,+110) SUN, 9:30 AM ET

A bit of a tough call, I had a lot of faith in the Panthers back in Week 2 in Carolina against the Buccaneers, but that did not work out too well. McCaffrey has proven himself a beast with his yards and awesome TDs, but if the Panthers want to beat the Bucs this time they will need to pressure Winston at a consistent rate. Winston has looked good finding Evans and Godwin when he has enough time. I am taking the Panthers again though, as a game in London doesn't give the home field advantage the Bucs would love to have for this one. The -2 spread shouldn't be too tough to beat, but -130 will still payout alright as well if you want to play it safer. Look to McCaffrey and the Panthers to come through wanting their revenge for Week 2.
Prediction: Panthers 27-21

4-1 Seattle Seahawks (-1,-120) vs. 2-3 Cleveland Browns (+1,+100) SUN, 1:00 PM ET

The Browns went from on top of the world after their victory over the Ravens to bottom of the barrel after the embarrassment in SF. The two QBs in this one have one big difference, Wilson can handle pressure and make a play while Mayfield can't. The 49ers showed us Mayfield couldn't pull off smart decisions or come through while being forced out of the pocket. We know Wilson can do that, especially after his last match against the Rams. Seattle has the 4th best rush defense, so Chubb will have a hard time meaning it will be mostly up to Mayfield. So I will take the Seahawks with that -1 spread.
Prediction: Seahawks 24-14

3-2 Houston Texans (+5,+200) vs. 4-1 Kansas City Chiefs (-5,-240) SUN, 1:00 PM ET

This will be a high scoring battle. I am sure Mahomes wants to rebound after the loss to Indy, but can the KC defense slow down Watson and Hopkins? Health is the real question for the Chiefs, Mahomes ankle, Watkins and Hill being there as his options for him. We will see what the Chiefs bring to the table. The -5 spread may be a bit much, but I would bet that -240 money line as I doubt Mahomes lets his team drop a second one in a row at home.
Prediction: Chiefs 34-30

0-5 Washington Redskins (-3.5,-190) vs. 0-4 Miami Dolphins (+3.5,+165) SUN, 1:00 PM ET

Yes some how this game will still be televised and shown on Fox. The most irrelevant game of the year so far, but at least one of these teams finally get a W. Gruden has been fired and I bet the Redskins will use that as their motivation to get the win. The Dolphins are coming off a bye, but I can't believe in their team at all. Redskins have the better team, as they did give the Patriots a bit of a competition last week. Washington takes this one by more than 3.5 points.
Prediction: Redskins 23-12

3-2 Philadelphia Eagles (+3,+130) vs. 3-2 Minnesota Vikings (-3,-150) SUN, 1:00 PM ET

This should be a good one, you have one of the worst pass defenses against an unreliable pass offense. Cousins seems to have his good days and bad days, but against this secondary I imagine it shouldn't be too tough. Will the Eagles get enough pressure on Cousins to make him have a mistake or two, and can Cook get through the NFL's best rush defense? Cousins will need to find Diggs and Thielen a few times to get Cook some space in order for the Vikings to get the win. But I honestly like the Eagles, as I think I can count on their consistency compared to the Vikings. Feel free to take that +3 spread however.
Prediction: Eagles 24-23

4-1 New Orleans Saints (+1,+100) vs. 2-3 Jacksonville Jaguars (-1,-120) SUN, 1:00 PM ET

The Jaguars favored...interesting. Look, both these teams are on their backup QB, have been looking similar when it comes to points on the season, and have a strong RB with moves. What is different is the Saints have the defensive you can trust. The Jaguars used to, but Ramsey isn't playing much these days and Kamara with run through them a lot easier than Fournette will past the Saints D-Line. Saints money line should be a good bet.
Prediction: Saints 28-20

0-5 Cincinnati Bengals (+11.5,+450) vs. 3-2 Baltimore Ravens (-11.5,-600) SUN, 1:00 PM ET

Well 0-5 is tough to get past when you can't stop anyones run game. Oh and now you get to take on one of the NFL's best. Is 11.5 enough of a spread in this one? The Ravens will have a good time controlling the clock and getting first down after first down with the run game. I think the Bengals will end up getting a win this year, but it will have to wait at least another week.
Prediction: Ravens 41-21

4-0 San Francisco 49ers (+3.5,+165) vs. 3-2 Los Angeles Rams (-3.5,-195) SUN, 4:05 PM ET

The Rams have had a little extra rest, but are also dealing with some dings. Matthews has a broken jaw and that defensive line is missing another piece for about a month. Now I like Goff a lot more than Garoppolo, but we have seen Goff make a good amount of mistakes and he is about to take on one of the best pass defenses and Bosa as well. Both teams are gonna bring the pressure, which ever QB gets through the pressure with the least turnovers wins this one. Oh and they need some accurate kickers this time. But I like the Niners with the spread.
Prediction: 49ers 23-21

1-4 Atlanta Falcons (-2.5,-140) vs. 1-3-1 Arizona Cardinals (+2.5,+120) SUN, 4:05 PM ET

The Falcons need a win, especially if these coaching change rumors are not going to take place. The Packers saw a rather big coaching change with McCarthy getting fired after a loss to the Cardinals last season. So if the Falcons drop to 1-5, I wouldn't be surprised if that coaching change happens. We will see if the Falcons and their sad defense can slow down Murray enough, while the Peterson-less Cardinals defense takes on Ryan, Jones, Sanu, and Freeman. I expect a lot of points and shoot out to the last drive. If I was to bet, I like the +2.5 spread with ARI or the -140 money line with ATL.
Prediction: Falcons 31-30

2-3 Tennessee Titans (+2.5,+120) vs. 1-4 Denver Broncos (-2.5,-140) SUN, 4:25 PM ET

Ok after last week this is a bit of a tough one to call. Two very unpredictable teams that are there one week and gone the next. The Titans just had a tough one missing all those field goals, while Denver got their first win as their defense finally made a difference. But which defense will come through this week? Against Henry, the Broncos will not always have a solution. However, the Titans will have an easier time stopping Lindsay and the Broncos offense. I would take the +120 money line on this one.
Prediction: Titans 24-21

3-2 Dallas Cowboys (-7,-360) vs. 0-4 New York Jets (+7,+300) SUN, 4:25 PM ET

The Cowboys are back against a bad team, we saw they were not very successful against the good ones, so this should be a blowout. Dak and Elliot want to have fun again and shouldn't have much of an issue. Darnold is cleared to play again, but we will see if he can make much of a difference in this one. Look for Dak to put up those MVP type numbers again and the Cowboys to bring some life back to his fanbase. The -7 spread shouldn't be too tough to overcome.
Prediction: Cowboys 31-17

1-4 Pittsburgh Steelers (+6.5,+245) vs. 2-3 Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5,-300) SUN, 8:20 PM ET

The Chargers have one thing to focus on, stopping the run. Conner is going to be a big piece of the Steelers offense with third string Hodges in. Word is Rudolph may return, but I would give him a week off after that blow from Thomas. Still I expect a close game, as the Chargers have not been impressing me recently. The 6.5 point spread is to much, look to take the Steelers against the spread, but I still am going with the Chargers to win this one.
Prediction: Chargers : 24-21

2-1-1 Detroit Lions (+4.5,+185) vs. 4-1 Green Bay Packers (-4.5,-225) MON, 8:15 PM ET

Then the big one, at least in my book. The Lions are looking like a real factor this year and are coming off the bye. They have offense and defense and are going to put up a good fight. Rodgers will need good protection and that Packers D-Line will need to be there again. This is an important one for the division, as these two don't meet again until Week 17. I know the Lions have health on their side and that will be important, but I Rodgers just has the numbers against these guys. I have to go with the Packers at home. Take those Lions with the +4.5 points or the -225 money line if you like the Packers more.
Prediction: Packers 30-27
Bye weeks: Raiders, Bills, Colts, & Bears
