NFL Week 2 Predictions

Week 1 is in the bag, some good games and some surprises. How about them Browns staying off the week 1 losing list for the first time since 2004? Those Buccaneers lead by Fitzpatrick put on a good show. The biggest spread of the week was between the Saints and Bucs and though Brees put up 40 points, that wasn't enough to catch up to their division rival. Rodgers had his amazing comeback, but he is Aaron Rodgers so you can't act to surprised. Here is what we expect out of the games in week 2.

Tommy: 9-6
Lauren: 7-8
Marcus: 7-8
Ravens vs Bengals
Tommy- Both of these team were impressive in week 1. The Ravens defense will make the difference in this one, as Suggs and their line with force Dalton to make a mistake to many. BAL 
Lauren- Both of these teams looked far better than I expected them to look. Granted, Baltimore was playing against what looks like the worst team in the NFL this year. I think the Ravens offense will outscore the Bengals this week. BAL
Marcus- So I am going to have to eat the crow this week, the Bengals didn't bungle anything last week and beat Indy. The Ravens look great but the Bills look horrendous. Looking at last years matchups and how the teams fared last week I am going Cincy. CIN
Joe- I am going with the boys in stripes, its a toss up in reality but I like the home team. CIN
Panthers vs Falcons
Tommy- Division matchup taking place between a couple teams that can win the NFC South. The difference between the two of these teams in week 1 is the Falcons choked and the Panthers didn't. The Falcons had a tougher opponent and will be at home this week. I see this as a bog toss up and depends who is more healthy and does not make errors out on the field. ATL
Lauren- Atlanta lost a huge defensive piece with Neal going down. Carolina's offense was anticlimactic. This game is hard to call. I think that Matt Ryan will have a better game this week and come out with the win. ATL 
Marcus- It's tough opening your season against the Super Bowl champs and it looked that way for the Falcons. The Panthers got the W thanks to their defense and I am expecting a better game from my boy McCaffrey but I like the dirty birds in this one. Looking at recent history and their success in September at home, I am looking for a bounce back week. ATL
Joe- If home field advantage counts for 3 points, then I can't see any reason why Atlanta is favored by more than 3 against another "we think they are sort of good" team. These squads are pretty much even all around but I am going Panthers. CAR
Chargers vs Bills
Tommy- Peterman did not come through for Buffalo at all. The Chargers defense even without Bosa should be able to hold the Bills down and let Rivers runaway with this one. LAC
Lauren- Chargers should be able to take care of Buffalo fairly easily. I'm calling for Rivers to have the best yardage this week. LAC
Marcus- Did I mention how bad the Bills looked last week? The only that looks good are the tailgates hosted by the Bills mafia!! Even with the QB switch, I am liking San Diego...er LA to win and also cover this week. LAC
Joe- Everyone on this earth is going to take the Chargers after watching Buffalo last week. But the Chargers still have to travel to a far destination and play in a historically tough place to visit. Against a QB no one has really seen before, give me Buffalo. BUF
Vikings vs Packers
Tommy- Rodgers got dinged down there at the knee but still some how pulled it off. But the Vikings offense will not disappear in the second half like the Bears did. The Vikings will be to much for the Rodgers to overcome especially if he is still feeling it in the knee. Cousins, Cook, and Diggs with their great defense make the difference. MIN
Lauren- WHAT A COMEBACK. Aaron Rodgers looked like his old self again. But Cousins looked real good too. Even so, I think the Packers will be able to undo the Vikings. GB
Marcus- As much as I would like to take the Pack, especially with the performance of Rodgers, I am going to have to go with the Vikings. Looking at previous success vs GB and they looked spot on against Santa Clara last week. MIN
Joe- If Rodgers plays, the Packers will win. And it seems that he's sick of sitting out with injuries. This is not last year's Vikings. Minnesota squads are historically no back to back playoff teams. GB
Browns vs Saints
Tommy- Well the Browns finally did it, they started without a loss. The Saints are very unhappy with their performance and I think they will comeback in week 2. They wont allow a game like that again, and though it may be closer than some think the Saints will come out on top. NO
Lauren- This may be the hardest game to call this week because of how these teams looked last week. I think Drew Bress will bounce back for the win this week, but he'll get picked once or twice. NO
Marcus- My insider info came through for the Browns las week, but I don't see the Saints starting 0-2. I expect the Saints to be hungry this week. NO
Joe- Stop freaking out. The Saints are going to be fine. Why? Because God hates Vikings fans and the Vikings hate the Saints forever (2009) NO
Dolphins vs Jets
Tommy- The J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!! Made Stafford look terrible. Darnold may have had a rough start, but he put things together and should have a good home opener this coming week. NYJ
Lauren- The Jets defense looked incredible. Look for them to stay incredible against Miami! NYJ
Marcus- Fight on!!Fight on for the former Trojan Darnold and his team the J E T S Jets Jets Jets! I think he will continue his magic this week against the Dolphins. NYJ
Joe- Within the next few weeks, the Jets will show us that week 1 was not a sign of thing to come. But maybe not this week. AFC East easily the worst division in football. NYJ
Chiefs vs Steelers
Tommy- That boy Hill is crazy fast. Everyone has been saying the Chargers will take the AFC West

and he and the Chiefs destroyed their defense. The Steelers will be looking to redeem themselves. This game should be a good one, but it comes down to Big Ben and if he makes those mistakes again or if the youngster does for KC. I know Pittsburgh is favored but I got the Chiefs. KC
Lauren- I've been telling people all offseason that Mahomes was still too green to be any good, and boy do I stand corrected. I think he will carve up the Steelers defense for the win this week. KC
Marcus- Another week and another show for Bell. That's a big hit for the Steelers. I am going for the Chiefs even though it is on the road. KC
Joe- Weird line considering how bad the Steelers looked in week 1 and how good the Chiefs looked. Makes me think the Steelers may just blow them out. Big Ben much better at home compared to on the road. PIT
Eagles vs Buccaneers
Tommy- Those Buccaneers were very impressive week 1, but now they get to take on the champs. They will face a different level of defense. I don't think Fitzpatrick will be able to replicate what he did in week 1. Should still be a good game but I like Philly. PHI
Lauren- Ryan Fitzpatrick looked like a BEAST against the Saints. Philly looked only subpar against Atlanta. Still, I think maybe the Eagles defense gives the Bucs a wake-up call this week. PHI
Marcus- Will Fitzmagic strike again?? I dunno, I don't believe in the Bucs but I do believe in the champs! I'm liking the Eagles with that defense. Fly Eagles Fly! PHI
Joe- Do i believe that Ryan Fitzpatrick can have awesome weeks back to back? I do not. I don't like Philly's team either but they are still the champs. PHI
Texans vs Titans
Tommy- I will admit, Watson did disappoint me a little bit back in New England. But that was against Brady and the Patriots and they only fell by seven. Titans however got dinged up badly and wont be able to keep up with Houston in week two even though they are at home. HOU
Lauren- The Titans looked way worse than what I imagined. Houston kept the game against Brady close like I thought they would. Without security blanket Delanie Walker, the Titans will fall again this week. HOU
Marcus- I see my other dude from Stanford Peter Kalambayi ready for action. i expect him and the rest of the Texans to step up against a hurt Titans team. HOU
Joe- I think Tennessee is bad this season, even with a healthy Mariota. This is my pick for the biggest blowout of the week. HOU
Colts vs Redskins
Tommy- The Redskins really looked good in week 1. You can see Luck is still trying to get back in the wing of things. Should be a good amount of TDs in this one, but I will trust Alex Smith to protect the ball better than Luck. WSH
Lauren- Andrew Luck's return was spoiled by Cincinnati and I do not think this week will be a whole lot different. Josh Norman and the Redskins should be able to keep Luck's receivers in check. WSH
Marcus- I am liking the Skins to win against the Colts, especially due to another big game from A.P.! WSH
Joe- I actually think both teams are pretty decent and will compete for their divisions. I like what I saw out of Andrew Luck. He will keep it close and slip away with the win. IND 
Lions vs 49ers
Tommy- The big question in this game is how is Stafford feeling after taking those big hits and turning the ball over so much. I am looking to Jimmy G to lead his team after a tough week and come out on top at home in a close one. SF
Lauren- Another tough one to call based on last week. I'm taking my Niners because the Lions defense looked just awful. SF
Marcus- I usually don't like the Santa Clara 9ers, but Detroit looked abysmal against the Jets. Santa Clara for the win. SF
Joe- San Francisco is a pretty good team. I think they will clean up their mistakes from last week against what seems to be a pretty bad defensive team. SF
Cardinals vs Rams
Tommy- The guy doesn't stay healthy long and I doubt Bradford makes it past week 2. Donald, Suh, and that great Rams secondary will get to the Cardinals and win this one by the end of the first half. LAR
Lauren- I thought it would be impossible for anything to get by the Rams defense. Beast Mode proved that wrong pretty quick. But LA's line should hold against the Cardinal's offense. LAR
Marcus- I like the Rams this week. They looked great against the Raiders, while the Cardinals were lacking luster. LAR
Joe- The Rams look like the most talented team in the league. Everyone will be on them and I hate going with the public. This is a division game and I wouldn't be surprised if they split the series. Watch David Johnson run all over them. ARI
Raiders vs Broncos
Tommy- A good division match up here, as Gruden looks to get that W he desires while visiting a long time foe. Carr made his mistakes week 1 and Miller isn't going to make it easy. But I think the Raiders burn their frustration and finally show some pressure on defense. OAK
Lauren- Oakland's offense played exactly like I thought they would.Denver's offense played much better than I expected. Based on week one, it looks like Denver should have the win in week 2. DEN 
Marcus- Coach Gruden will start the year 0-2, as the silver and black have a tough game on the road against a big rival.Denver looked good and those broncos will start 2-0. DEN
Joe- Oakland looks awful. The Broncos just won a big game at home. Division rivals..looks like the Broncos may win by 3 two weeks in a row. DEN
Patriots vs Jaguars
Tommy- This one should be a good game. You have two really good defenses here facing off, but will Ramsey and the Jags defense be enough against Brady? I think New England has the edge with a stronger offense that wont make some of the turnovers Bortles will, not to mention Fournette's health in question. I am rooting for Jacksonville but going Patriots. NE
Lauren- I love watching good defenses play. I would love to see them manhandle Brady and the Pats...Aw what the hell, Jacksonville for the win! JAX
Marcus- I like the Jags to get the win and revenge for the last season loss to the Pats in the AFC championship. JAX
Joe- I hate the Patriots. But how do I bet against Tom Brady in favor of Blake Bortles? I can't. The Jacksonville defense is not good enough to keep Brady from scoring enough to beat the Jags. NE
Giants vs Cowboys
Tommy- I am trusting Sean Lee in this one. The Cowboys are at home and they are now taking on a QB they know well. Lee needs to get in their and make a difference to support his slacking offense and give Dallas the win in a low scoring close game. DAL 
Lauren- The Cowboy's problem last week was they didn't know how to deal with a mobile QB like Newton. Manning is not a mobile QB. Still...I think maybe Barkley runs circle around Dallas for the win. NYG
Marcus- Saquon was a stud player at Penn State, had himself a nice opening game and i expect the former Nittany Lion to have a great game against the Boys. NYG 
Joe- Dallas should not be favored by 3 against anyone until they prove themselves. The Giants are not going to be that bad this season. Jason Garrett needs to go. NYG

Seahawks vs Bears
Tommy- The Bears looked great in the first half, but then couldn't seem to do anything against a handicapped Rodgers. Well now they will be facing a guy who can really run. Wilson and the Seahawks are coming off a tough loss, but will runaway in the end to take this one. SEA
Lauren- It seems like the Seahawks are going to be facing a defense much like their own used to be like. Trubisky looked great in his first half against Green Bay. I think the Bears defense wins this one for Chicago. CHI
Marcus- Khalil Mack was a beast last week and if it wasn't for Aaron Rodgers the Bears would've won. The new monsters of the midway defensive get the win against the Seahawks. CHI
Joe- Maybe I am living in 2014 still but I think the Seahawks aren't completely done yet. I also think the Bears are improved. If I am not sold that the Bears can win this game, then why would I pick them especially in a normal bet they would have to cover. SEA
