Week 3 Predictions

We are starting to get an idea of what these teams are bringing to the field this year. Denver looks like the king of comeback, while Gruden is weeping watching Mack. Brady continued to show that weakness in the heat, while Miami is enjoying the top of the division seat. We got two ties in the books already, as new kickers are getting signed with a total of 19 FGs missed in week 2. Some have thrown in the towel, others got new deals, while others have been cut. Here is what we expect to come of the games this coming week.
Week 2 Records
Tommy 7-8
Lauren 9-6
Marcus 10-5
Joe 5-10
Jets vs Browns
Tommy- The Browns can't make any play in those clutch situations. They could be 2-0 right now, but are still winless. Darnold can be hot or cold, just depends on the on the moment I guess. This should be a good game, but I have to go with the home team. CLE
Lauren- 19 missed kicks Sunday, the only more important than Zaine Gonzalez's for the Browns was Carlson's for the Vikings. At least that fan base is used to that disappointment. I still think the Browns defense will make Thursday difficult for the Jets. Browns for the win. CLE
Marcus- I opened the year taking the Browns and I will go with the Brownies again. Cleveland gets the win this week. CLE
Joe- If the Browns were going to get a win for the first time in like 1,000 days, it would happen against the Jets right? Nope. I'm not sold. NYJ
Saints vs Falcons
Tommy- The Saints can't drop another one can they? Well now Brees get to face a defense that is missing a couple keys guys in the secondary and have his fun. It will be a duel between Ryan and Brees, and I have to go with Brees this time. Ryan stepped it up last week, but I don't expect them to be to hold on like they barley did against Carolina. NO
Lauren- Well the Saints just look awful. The offense has disappeared except for Kamara. The Falcons beat Carolina, but it like they were going to blow their lead in the end. I think the Falcons have the better offense and come out with the win in this one. ATL
Marcus- In an exciting NFC South matchup, I feel the Dirty Birds will get the win. Although I feel the Saints can cover the spread and keep it close. ATL
Joe- I hate these division games. The saints and Falcons might be the exact same team, including that they both play in a dome. So I will choose the team with home field advantage. ATL
49ers vs Chiefs
Tommy- Mahomes has got 10 TD passes over his 3 total career starts. The guy is a weapon with the tools he needs to put up a big number no matter who he plays. This should be a good game during the first half, but with the return of Berry on defense, Chiefs runaway with it in the 4th. KC
Lauren- Patrick Mahomes for President!! This kid is amazing. He beat Ben Roethlisberger and nearly out-passed him. Niners got the win vs Detroit, but that seems like an east feat this year. KC is going to carve up SF's defense. KC
Marcus- Hail the Chiefs!! What a game last week for Mahomes and the KC offense. The Santa Clara Niners almost lost against the Lions, while the Chiefs looked like they are for real! KC
Joe- Before the season, everyone would have picked Jimmy G as their QB over Mahomes. What a difference two games can make. It would be like Andy Reid to beat two good teams on the road and then lay an egg in their home opener. But I am not brave enough to pick it. KC
Raiders vs Dolphins
Tommy- The Dolphins have been looking good, but the Raiders are not going to drop 3 straight to start the year. Carr was hitting his targets, especially Cooper. The Dolphins are favored but I will take the underdog here. OAK
Lauren- The Raiders looked a lot better in Week 2. Miami looked a lot better period in both weeks. The Dolphins defense was the second best last week, which is far more surprising than how well their offense is doing. Give me the Dolphins at home. MIA
Marcus- Here is a fun stat, Tannehill is 9-1 in his last ten game in a Miami uniform. While the Raiders have struggled when they make those trips back east. I am liking the Dolphins in this one. MIA
Joe- I believe this season's AFC East is one of the worst divisions in NFL history. For that to be true, the Dolphins need to lose to the creepy Raiders. OAK
Bills vs Vikings
Tommy- I would love to see a crazy upset in this one, but I think the Vikings defense won't give up 29 points again. They should score more than that easily, Diggs scores 3 TDs. MIN
Lauren- These are the Bills I am used to. This will be a bloodbath. MIN
Marcus- The Vikings got the tie last week against the Pack and they have high expectations for their season. While the Bills had a players quit on them half way though the game las week and looked abysmal. Vikings for the win! MIN
Joe- The Bills team looks like a bottom 5 team in NFL history. And the Vikings should be 2-0, regardless of what delusional Pacers fans are saying.Speaking of that game, has a kicker ever missed multiple kicks field goal attempts in OT before prior to last week? Only the Vikings. MIN
Colts vs Eagles
Tommy- Luck looked good, but Wentz is coming back. You would think this will be a good offensive battle. Eagles have the better defense, but Wentz needs to get back in the swing of things. I will take the Colts with the points, but am going Eagles straight up. PHI
Lauren- Philly lost to the Bucs. Indy beat the Redskins. I don't which I am more surprised at (The BUCS?!?!?!). Philly bounces back this week. PHI
Marcus- Looking at the numbers, the Eagles 8-2 against the spread at home while Indy is 0-8 in their last 8 games after a win. Plus I think Philly will get a boost with Wentz starting Sunday. PHI
Joe- Welcome back to endless annoying Carson Wentz conversation. I don't think he will be very sharp in his return. And as i said last week, the Colts are not bad. Wouldn't it be fun to have a Wentz-Foles QB controversy after Wentz loses his first game back? IND
Packers vs Redskins
Tommy- Taking place in Washington, I think this will be a close game. Both QBs are known to protect the ball well, it will come down to has the clutch drive near the end. GB
Lauren- The Packers seem to want to put on a show every week. This may turn out to be a problem later since they are playing playoff ball already in September. But the Skins lost to Luck and the Colts which was disappointing. I think Rodgers racks up some good passing yards in the win. GB
Marcus- If Rodgers was 100% I would take the Packers, but since he isn't I'm gonna have to o with the Skins to get the victory this weekend. WSH
Joe- I'm trying to read into the current point spread, which looks quite suspicious with the Packers only -3. Rodgers is still talking about being hurt even though he looked fine last week. Drama Queen. GB
Bengals vs Panthers
Tommy- Mixon is out, that is a big break for Carolina. Dalton will get roughed up by that Panthers defense which will lead to their thin win and the Bengals their first loss. CAR
Lauren- The Bengals offense look incredible. It's like Dalton knows this may be his last chance and is making the most of it. I still don't know what to think about Carolina. This one is a little hard to call. I think Cincy wins this late. CIN
Marcus- I've eaten crow before with the Bengals but I feel that Carolina will get the win this week. Behind McCaffrey the Panthers will get the W here, but I do see a close game between the two teams. CAR
Joe- If I were a betting man, I would not be betting on Andy Dalton to start this season 3-0. CAR
Titans vs Jaguars

Tommy- The Titans put on a good show against their division foe last week, but now they take on the bigger one. Bortles impressed me against New England and will be facing a softer defense this time. The Jags are favored by 7, I bet they take it by 10. JAX
Lauren- Jacksonville's win over was beautiful to behold. The Titans looked better against Houston than I thought they would. But I still think the Jaguars defense outplays the Titans here. JAX
Marcus- Another stat to note, the Jaguars are looking for their first win against the Titans since 2016, not that long ago but the Jags made it to the AFC Championship last year. Even though the Titans may match up well, I like the Jags to get the W this Sunday. JAX
Joe- The Texans should be incredibly embarrassed by their lose tot he Titans last week. If the Jaguars can handle Brady and the  Patriots, then they surely should be able to handle Blaine Gabbert. JAX
Broncos vs Ravens
Tommy- Miller and the Broncos defense should have fun pressuring Flacco and the Ravens run game, holding them down enough to start 3-0. DEN
Lauren- Keenum lead his team to a great comeback on Sunday. Looks like the Broncos are getting their money's worth out of him for now. You know who is not living up to his paycheck? Flacco. DEN
Marcus- The Broncos won only 5 games last season and now they have 2, could they get their 3rd win?! Eh, I don't think so. Although I do like them to beat the spread this week. I feel that Baltimore will right the ship this week and get a win in a close matchup. BAL
Joe- If Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, or Drew Brees had won their first two games the same way Case Keenum has in Denver, people would be freaking out about what an amazing achievement it is. Case may have the best regular season record of any QB over the last 15 games. I'll stick with the hot hand. DEN
Giants vs Texans
Tommy- Manning has no protection. The Texans have, well are suppose to have one of the best defenses to pressure the QB. Both teams are hungry for a W, but I bet Houston gets their first at home. HOU
Lauren- Eli Manning was sacked six times Sunday night. Against the Cowboys...whose defense is average at best. He will get beat up more in this one and Watson will get his first win. HOU
Marcus- Did you see Eli with the "deer in the headlights" face he made after getting hit? Thats the look he'll have again when Kalambayi and the rest of the Texans defense come after him. Houston for the win! HOU
Joe- What an awful game. Two quarterbacks believed to be good that have been very bad thus far. At least whoever loses this game can forget about going to the playoffs. One less thing to worry about. HOU
Chargers vs Rams
Tommy- Both of these teams can score, but the Chargers will not be able to stop the Rams offense compared to the other way around. Close game for a bit, Rams take it in the second half. LAR
Lauren- Battle of L.A. Superb defense against a very good passing offense. The defense comes out on top. Rams win. LAR
Marcus- I like the Rams in the battle of who reigns supreme in the city of Angels. The Rams have looked like an early Super Bowl contender and have continued to out score opponents. Rams over Charger in the battle of LA. LAR
Joe- I remember when these were zero teams in LA that people there cared about. Now there are two and still no one cares. Even when one of them is far and away the best team in the league. LAR
Bears vs Cardinals
Tommy- Mack is gonna have a blast breaking through to get to Bradford. The Bears are going to force a few turnovers and take this with ease. CHI
Lauren- The Cardinals got shutout by one of the best defenses on the league. The Bears also have an elite defense. Has any team been shutout two weeks in a row? Maybe Rosen will play and get some points though. Bears still win though. CHI
Marcus- Khalil Mack and the new monsters of the midway look to continue their defensive success against the Cardinals. The Bears currently lead the league in the sacks and will get the victory this weekend. CHI
Joe- Can the Bills and Cardinals really be this bad? Maybe they will both shoot for 0-16. The Bears look like a possible playoff team thus far. CHI
Cowboys vs Seahawks

Tommy- Seattle tried to get their run game going against the Bears with Baldwin out, that did not work so well. If the Seahawks want their first win and spare Pete from the funny shots of his frustration on the sideline they will need to pass the ball and give Wilson time. I don't trust the Cowboy offense, but for now I go Dallas. DAL
Lauren- Russell Wilson's offensive line seems to have it in for him. No protection. He cannot wins games on his own. Elliot had a decent game against the Giants and he should have another. Dallas for the win. DAL
Marcus- Now here's a number for you, the Seahawks haven't lost a September home game since 2009! I like the Seahawks to continue their winning ways for them to get the win against the Cowboys. SEA
Joe- I don't care if they beat the Giants. I think Dallas sucks. Seattle is finally at home and they are going to win this game. SEA
Patriots vs Lions
Tommy- New England will run all over Detroit. Gronk will get a couple TD's and Brady will look like himself again after last week. NE
Lauren- Brady should have fun letting off some steam against Detroit's awful defense and his former defensive coordinator. He should also get a chance to use his new toy Josh Gordon. Pats win easily. NE
Marcus- The Lions will feel the wrath of an angry Pats who lost last week to the Jags and are looking to bounce back this week with a W. NE
Joe- They said to watch out for games in which a brand new coach is playing against the team they used to coordinate for. I will kick myself if Detroit pulls this off and I didn't pick it, but I can't. NE
Steelers vs Buccaneers
Tommy- The Steelers really want a win, but nothing looks to be getting in that Bucs team way. I have a feeling the Steelers will put up a better fight then they have the last couple weeks, at least defensively, but I have to go with Tampa. TB
Lauren- Steelers tie the Browns then fall to the Chiefs. Bucs beat the Saints and Eagles. Seems like an easy pick here. Fitzmagic cruises to another W. TB
Marcus- Fitzmagic baby!!! Look for the Harvard grad to get another W this week against a struggling Steelers team. TB
Joe- I'm giving the Steelers one last chance. If they lose this game, they are dead to me. That, and by season's end, Tomlin will be fired, Big Ben will have retired and Brown and Bell will both have been traded. Blow it all up. PIT
Season Record
Tommy 16-14
Lauren 16-14
Marcus 17-13
Joe 5-10
