Vikings vs Rams
Tommy- The Rams have won by double digits each game so far. Now they meet another good defense. Ok, so one coming off a bad week. But the Rams lost a couple big pieces in Talib and possibly Peters. I can't wait for this game, as Cousins is always more clutch against teams like this instead of pushovers. I doubt they pull it off by double digits again, but they give the home crowd the W. LAR
Lauren- I don't know what to do this week. So many upsets. So many roughing the PASSER CALLS. The Vikings were a joke, but i've heard that Cousins seems to do well against teams he shouldn't. Even so, Rams at home is hard to pass up. LAR
Marcus- Dare I pick the Vikings after their performance last week? Well I like them to cover the spread but the Rams take the W in this matchup. LAR
Joe- I had so much to say about my Vikings losing in a way that only the Vikings could lose. A way that Minnesotans have seen many, many times. So much to say about Zimmer and karma after he trashed a kicker he had just cut. Then I started to read about Griffin, what a mess. Possibly explains a team that had zero life in them against the Bills. No one in the world think the Vikings will bounce back, but Cousins beat these guys last year in LA. I am going for it. MIN
Bengals vs Falcons
Tommy- Dalton is running out of weapons. Mixon and Green both going through injury issues may lead to a tough problem. Not to mention visiting Atlanta right after taking a stop in Carolina. The Falcons score a lot and the Bengals won't be able to keep up. ATL
Lauren- Another defenseman down for Atlanta. Another offensive player down for the Bengals. Who will be the bigger missing piece? I would say A.J. Green is the bigger piece. ATL
Marcus- The Dirty Birds eek out a close victory against the Bengals. Atlanta is 15-3 straight up in their last 18 September home games. ATL
Joe- The Falcons are so frustrating. Every time I think it's over for them, they play lights out. And every time I believe in Ryan, they choke. back to back weeks at Carolina then Atlanta is a tough draw fir the Bengals. They're already one of the more forgettable teams int he league. I expect them to be a complete afterthought after dropping another one this week. ATL
Buccaneers vs Bears
Tommy- Ok so the Bucs lost, but Fitzpatrick still threw for over 400 yards again. I won't have a confident prediction until I know who is starting at QB. I am expect Fitz again, so the question is will he be able to avoid those multiple turnovers he had on Monday night while getting pressured by Mack and the Bears defense? That is a tall order. But I trust him over that Bear offense. TB
Lauren- FitzMagic sputtered out on Monday night. Chicago's defense did not look nearly as formidable as past weeks. This will be a big defense vs a big offense. I think the Bears should take it. CHI
Marcus- Fitzmagic hit a speed bump last week and now they have the new monsters of the Midway. I like the Bears defense to keep TB at bay, Chicago for the win. CHI
Joe- Hey fair weather Tampa fans, where you at? Oh, and there is no such thing as a moral victory just because you came back from down 30-10 and still lost. The Fitzpatrick era will soon be over if not already. And we won't be talking about the Bucs by week 8. As for the Bears, they may be on their way to a division title. CHI
Lions vs Cowboys
Tommy- Lee is missing time, that is a big loss for Dallas. While those Lions looked great and actually got a 100 yard rusher last week. I do not expect to many points in this game, but Detroit will be more consistent on the offense. DET
Lauren- The Cowboys seem to have lost their offense, while the Lions seem to have found theirs. Lions also somehow found their defense along the way. Another hard one to choose because the Lions were not suppose to beat New England. I'm gonna give it to Detroit. DET
Marcus- The Lions looked good last week and I dunno maybe a gut feeling but I like Detroit to get another victory this week. DET
Joe- The Lions are back, right? They crushed New England and Dallas showed us just what I predicted...that they suck. It would be easy to pick the mild upset here. But the Cowboys seem to be much different team at home compared to on the road. And the Lions are still the Lions. DAL
Bills vs Packers
Tommy- Those Bills sure came through last week, forcing turnovers and making Cousins look terrible. But now I think the Packers are a bit more aware and will prepare correctly. Injuries are their weakness right now and they wont cover the spread but I gotta take the Pack. GB
Lauren- Based on last week this game is easily the hardest to choose. Buffalo looked reborn with Allen at QB. The Packers could not complete a pass for their lives. Still, I am think I will go with Green Bay at home. GB
Marcus- The Bills circled the wagon last week, and Bills mafia got their first win of the season. But I like my boy Blake and the rest of the Packers defense to stop the Bills this weekend. GB
Joe- Everyone should be talking about how badly Green Bay played against the Redskins. Except the Vikings won the "worst game of the year" award in week 3 and everything else was forgotten about. And to make matters worse, Green Bay plays the same team this week. And they are going to absolutely hammer them. Anything to make the Vikings look even worse. GB
Tommy- Well if you like fantasy and have some Eagles offensive players, it is time to bench them. The Titans have only given up four touchdowns in the three games so far. This will be a low scoring defensive battle. It appears both Titans Qbs are dinged up a bit. Which will end up being the difference on this one score differential final. PHI
Lauren- The Eagles won a really good game against the Colts. The Titans stunned Jacksonville's amazing defense. Wentz is the better QB bar none when compared to Gabbert. But I bet the defense makes this one interesting. I predict the Eagles runaway with it in the second half. PHI
Marcus- My brother from another mother is more than likely going to get the start this week back form injury. I like Mariota to lead the Titans to victory against the champs. TEN
Joe- I hate the Titans. I feel like I'm one of the only people who knows how bad they truly are. I've picked them to lose every week and they somehow pulled off back to back garbage division wins. They will run into it this week against the real luck boxes of the league. PHI
Texans vs Colts
Tommy- Watson and those Texans want to turn things around and get their first win. I expect much for from them. Peace out to my over 8.5 wins bet. Both teams have no shown much of a late clutch ability, this game will be decided by who dominates in the first half. I trust Luck right now, as Houston has given me no reason to believe. I am cheering Texans but think the Colts will take the division battle. IND
Lauren- I am sad that Houston looks so bad. I was really rooting for them to go all the way this year. Indy looks great with Luck back at the helm. Colts win it. IND
Marcus- Houston has been off to a rough start and looking at the numbers, it will continue. I like Indy to get the win against the Texans this week. IND
Joe- Hold on a second. This worthless bunch of underachievers, who can't even win at home against the Giants, are going on the road, facing a team who hasn't played bad at all this season, and they're only 1 point dogs? How is that possible? They're going to win, aren't they? I don't care if they do. I won't pick them. IND
Dolphins vs Patriots
Tommy- Getting owned by Detroit?!?! No way Brady drops a third one straight, especially at home. Miami gets their first L while Brady finds Gronk for clutch third downs and in the redzone for the close win. NE
Lauren- Miami looks so much better this year than I expected. Boy they must have missed Tannehill last year. The Patriots look as good as I've wanted them to look for years.I really really really want to Miami, but Foxborough is where Brady is best. NE
Marcus- A tough matchup this week in the AFC East! Can the Dolphins get a road victory?? I believe they can, it will be a tough matchup but I like the Fins to get the win over the Pats. MIA
Joe- It's so fun to watch New England lose. Let's go back to the Super Bowl. new England's defense is horrendous. One of the worst in the league since then. And Miami is 3-0 and on their way to a division title!! Except no. It will all turn around this week. I have an absolute lock two teamer in week 4. And it's the Patriots and Packers. NE
Jets vs Jaguars
Tommy- I like Darnold, but he is young and will make mistakes. If there is a pass defense that will cause them it is the Jaguars. Those mistake will end up costing the Jets the game by a TD or two. JAX
Lauren- Jacksonville had a rough game against the Titans. The Jets gave Cleveland their first win in nearly two years. I can't imagine the Jaguars defense will stutter two weeks in a row. JAX
Marcus- The Jags struggled last week against the Titans, I expect another tough matchup this week but I like the Jags to win a close one. JAX
Joe- Thank you Jets. I was the only one to pick you last week. You started out 14-0 and then you remembered your'e the Jets. And why isn't anyone back to talking about how much Blake Borltes sucks? 155 yards and 0 TDs in a divisional home loss. Nice. I don't care about this game. JAX
Tommy- Mayfield got the starting job after his comeback last week. But that was against the Jets. He will have a whole new challenge visiting Oakland and those dedicated fans. The Raiders are starving for their first win. Is Mayfield enough to keep Cleveland on the right track? They are not favored on the betting lines, but I favor them. It will be close, but Mayfield finding his receivers in the right places at the right time compared to Carr only gaining 4 yards when he needs 6 will cause Cleveland to party yet again. CLE
Lauren- We believe in Baker! The Browns finally won a game! Cleveland has hope! Meanwhile Oakland is 0-3 and looks hella stupid for signing Gruden for ten years. Baker is getting his first start in the black hole and honestly, I think this will only fuel his fire. Cleveland wins two in a row. CLE
Marcus- Can the Browns win 2 games in a row!? The former Sooner looked great last week in the Browns first win in a long time. But I think the Raiders will play another close game but the Browns get a win. CLE
Joe- I don't like Baker Mayfield. And everyone overreacting to his "Hall of Fame" performance against the Jets makes me like him less. Short and slow. Ok maybe not slow but not fast. Drew Bress is the only success story I can think of in this category. The Raiders are a 4th quarter disaster week after week. And they have a coach who belongs in a different era of coaching. They have to win some time though. OAK
Seahawks vs Cardinals
Tommy- Rosen is starting now and those guys in Seattle's secondary can't wait. I predict a low scoring game, but the Seahawks will have their way thanks to a more experienced and mobile QB. Seattle is favored by 3 and I think that is perfect. I predict a 17-14 final. SEA
Lauren- Seattle looked better against Dallas than they had in the past weeks. Arizona is starting their rookie for the first time against a division foe, and their defense looked much better against the Bears. I am taking a gamble on Arizona this week. ARI
Marcus- The Seahawks haven't looked to good and the Cardinals haven't looked good at all but I'm liking the rookie QB this week. Former Bruin Josh Rosen will give Arizona its first win. ARI
Joe- Josh Rosen looked like a high school kid playing against adults at the end of last week's game. I'm still high on Seattle. I feel like I am going to pick them every week. SEA
Saints vs Giants
Tommy- Brees was a beast! Though the Saints have not shown much on defense, Brees will outplay Manning and take this one home. NO
Lauren- The Giants had no right winning the game against Houston. All it showed is that Houston is far worse than we thought. I imagine Drew Brees will have a field day in New Jersey. NO
Marcus- Penn State has a huge game this week against OSU, and I like the former Nottany Lion to take it to the house against the Saints this week. NYG
Joe- I despise the Saints. And I really despise picking the Saints to win. I think I'm just going to rewatch Stefon Diggs and the miracle finish to beat those dirty Saints on repeat all night. I don't have any confidence in the Giants winning this game. But they've done the opposite of what I've predicted every week. So hopefully they can do that again. NO
49ers vs Chargers
Tommy- Boy did that spread number take a jump when the big injury was confirmed. The 49ers are lost right now and will be meeting a team looking to catch an undefeated one they have already lost to. The Chargers are not in a mood to show compassion and mercy. LAC
Lauren- Down goes Jimmy G. San Francisco lost the only ray of hope it had left. Granted CJ Beathard isn't the worst choice, he's just not the same. Rivers should lead his offense to a win here. LAC
Marcus- San Diego errrr, LA Super Chargers!! After the close one went down with an injury, the 49ers seasons is in disarray. I like the Chargers to get the win this weekend. LAC
Joe- It's safe to say that no team is unluckier this season than the 49ers. You just can't win when you los your starting running back and franchise quarterback for the season in the first three weeks. As for the Chargers, they've been beaten up by the two best teams in the league. Some may find a silver lining in that 1-2 start. For me however, I can't take you seriously if you aren't putting up much of a fight against the elites. Same old Chargers. LAC
Ravens vs Steelers
Tommy- Big Ben gets hit a lot, but for once that works out in his advantage. He will get slammed by Suggs or another Ravens D-lineman but will get the flag. Roughing the passer will be what we hear as the ref gives us his routine hand motions and we roll our eyes. The Steelers are coming off a short week, but they know this home game means a lot and the battle for the division is on the line. PIT
Lauren- It's hard to believe that the aging Flacco and his aging defense are playing so well.Big Ben got his team a win on Monday through sheer will. I don't think Roethlisberger will be so lucky after a shorter week. BAL
Marcus- A classic AFC North division matchup, a hard fought defensive battle. I like the Ravens to cover but the Steelers to get the victory. PIT
Joe- All aboard the Pittsburgh train!! Yes, they won ugly against Tampa Bay and almost blew it like 3 times. But you know what? They're still better than the Patriots thus far. And they're going to exploit and overrated and worthless road team. Prediction, Ravens lose at least 6 road games this season. I'll bet $5, any takers??? PIT
Tommy- How can you go against this guy right now. I mean I am buying a Mahomes jersey he has impressed me so much. Chiefs are meeting a good defense and a division rival, but that isn't going to stop him. KC
Lauren- I legit sat here for five minutes trying to come up with a decent argument to make this game sound like a good one. But I came up with nothing. I don't think Denver stands a chance against Mahomes. KC
Marcus- The former Red Raider is hot right now, like so hot! I expect the good times to keep rolling for Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs as they take care of the Broncos this weekend. KC
Joe- I love this Kansas City team. I want Mahomes to win the MVP and the Chiefs to make it to the Super Bowl. But there is just this feeling in the air that something bad is going to happen to them. Not sure when or what, but it is coming. A catastrophic injury or something like that. When there are luck box teams like the Eagles and Patriots, there are also the polar opposites so the world balances out. The Lions, Vikings and especially the Chiefs. Some teams never catch a break. Denver let me down last week. I'm in a fight with them until they have a good game again. KC
